Mission Statement 

Having been democratically elected by residents living within the vicinity of the re-developed Ewenny Roundabout to represent their views to Bridgend County Borough Council, the Committee of the “Roundabout Action Group of Ewenny” agree to pursue the following ethos and objectives:

 To seek an improvement in the quality of life, physical safety and peace of mind for these residents.

 To seek to protect the investment made by these residents in acquiring and modernising their homes.

 To seek to establish a culture of open communication with Bridgend County Borough Council in discussing and progressing issues of interest to the residents.

 To provide regular feedback to the residents and other interested parties with regard to matters discussed with, or communicated to, Bridgend County Borough Council.

 To achieve an understanding, on behalf of all residents of the Borough, of the effectiveness of investments made, by Bridgend County Borough Council, in the improvement of the structural and cultural fabric of Bridgend County Borough.

 The above Mission Statement is to be implemented via, but not limited to, the following objectives: 

  • To improve parking facilities and the safety of parking for residents
  • To remove or reduce the impact of the Ewenny Roundabout on residents.
  • To obtain compensation for the reduction of value of residents homes.
  • To obtain Council Tax rebates in relation to the reduced Quality of Life and discomforts experienced by Residents.
  • To understand that Projects delivered into the Borough meet all Professional and Statutory standards that are applicable.
  • To be able to agree that the use of public funds invested in improving the structural and cultural fabric of the Borough is done so in an appropriate manner.
  • To understand the traffic management concepts introduced at the Ewenny Roundabout form part of a comprehensive, cohesive and integrated traffic management strategy.
  • To establish the performance of the re-developed Ewenny Roundabout, both in terms of safety and throughput, in relation to the design criteria.
